Back again,

Right i bought the PDA SatNav system for £129. It's pretty fking awesome actually, initially had a few doubts about it as with reflective windowscreen i thought it might not attain a signal - however it acquired all 8 satelittes within a few seconds.

It comes with a suction cup, cigarette charger, mains charger, case, all the software and a few other little bits. All the documentation is Medion as is the guarantee, so its rebadged as mircomaxx.

The GPS receiver is actually built into the PDA so the pluspoint being you could easily walk around a city with it and navigate your way using it.

The software is Medion Navigator 5 which is 2003 based, but dont let this put you off. For me its been perfect and gives even more detail than TomTom does with regard to vocal instruction. Also produces maps in 3D or top down with assorted POI's preloaded onto the included 256mb SD card (petrol stations, resturants etc etc).

Also obviously be used as a Pda with Pocket office and a load of other stuff on it as standard. Touchscreen seems very sensitive and it obviously has a stylus etc.

The other thing is, you can acquire TomTom and with a few small GPS receiver changes you can get TomTom running on it no problems.

All in all...Bargain!

I've been to 4 of my local stores today and I can't find anything thats on the list, went after the pda and there seem to be several on ebay so I would imagine to offers been running for a while and they've got shot of them all.

No the offers have only been on for around a week. Theres plenty of Garmin i3 units at the Somerfield near me, but i managed to get the last PDA :)

Theres also stock of the other items on the list too at my store, so just a case of phoning round and asking i imagine. Apparently its a clearance to make way for new lines, but they're taking heavy losses on some of it.

I'm going to doncaster tomorrow so i'll have a look there while i'm there see if I can get lucky.
