Gear knob - reverse

in the 16v clio do u have to pull a thing up to get into reverse???

i have a normal momo gear knob outa my escort and just wondering would it be a straight fit, or do u have to buy the 1s where its got a lift up reverse??!!

Yes the 16vs have a pull up reverse gear knob!

However im not sure if you need to get a special aftermarket replacement or not, mine came with a momo knob and as far as i can see the lift up part is the original, with the momo knob part on top....not 100% sure though!

you keep the original lift up part, and replace the actual knob.

I really hate the whole push into reverse stupid renault, its nothing short of annoying.

I transferred my MOMO gear knob onto my CLIO, but my one is not a lift up type, I had to position the allon key holes at the farthest top part of the gearstick and tighten it as tight as poss, there should be three holes on the gear knob. I have found though, to engage reverse you have to be kinda gentle with it.
