Gear Knobs!!

does anyone know how to remove the plastic gear knob in a 2000 MTV 1.2 clio



is it just a simple pull and twist or do i need to do it with a hacksaw

ooh and the handbrake lever aswell???

Hacksaw time me thinks,thats how i have took it off of mine,grey rubber stuff is easy enough,but the white plastic bit makes you work!! lol

Handbrake just clicks off i think,im lookin to get a MOMO handbrake for mine!

With mine, pulled off with mole grips or whatever they are called?!

Didnt need a hack saw!!

yeah twist and pull. if you cant do it that way, heat the thing from underneath with a hairdryer and it should come off fairly easy after that. if that still dont work-hacksaw it!

Had to hacksaw my handbrake. Absolute nightmare to get off. Took ages!

Did it with the biggest hangover though so could probably be easier

with mine, saying this i do have a mk1 phase three, but same applies i think, hacksaw came in handy, and a good half hour of swearing and sweating

whenever messing with the handbrake, put a bag over it, otherwise you might spend the rest of eternity searching your car for the spring that you heard fire off, but didnt see which way it went !
