Gear ratios 205/50/15 vs 195/50/15

Im on 205/45/16 ad08r which I think are the minimum Id go for the street in diameter. The 15's will be for track but wondering who has tried the different sizes and can recommend what works best?

195/50R15 will be a cheaper tyre, which is the main motive for moving to 15 inch wheels.

Granted different tyres but 205/45/16 and 195/50/16 was night and day. The 195s were so long, would be okay for a turbo. Thats why I ask, because the 195/50/15 seems too small

I sent you a link to a calculator that can work out the theoretical differences between tyre sizes. You can then decide what you want to do.

Mine lives on its 15s I can't really be bothered to chuck the 16s back on it. They don't feel too small, the Clio is hardly a long distance cruiser anyway.

Thanks Ive used that site before. I was more after real world experience on track, but would be nice to drive it on the road without being at 4k+ barely going 70

70 mph @ 4,000 rpm?

You probably have got one of PMS`s 5th gear sets installed.
