Glasgow City Centre Fri nite V6 (+pic)

just this morning/friday night whatever you want to call it i spotted a Silver 51 reg V6 outside cube and also a Silver 172 accross the road and also a Racing Blue 182 just along abit. kinda a mini meet then if you include my Silver 182.
also after leaving town got some banter with an ibiza Cupra which was fun, and not much in it.

also went to renault garage today to look at the 197, its beautiful. ive decided i love it. looks so good in red and blue (the 2 colours they had). asked about a demo car but the sales man was a c**k piece so certainly wont be using their sales department.

guy was a w**k. i walked in, i asked if they had any 197's in n he sed 'yeah over there' so i asked if there was any demos in n he sed 'no' and walked away. i was like ok.
someone else then showed me it. then as i was looking at it the guy came back near just as i was asking the guy showing me it if they were getting any demos in n he turned round n sed ' i already told u we dont hav any' while growling at me. i sed ' well thats ok as thats not what i am asking' then turned back to the guy i was talking to and asked again if they were getting any demos in n he just said hell take my number n call me if they do.

the red one in there is about 17/18 k or something daft like that.

Just a thought (and by no means an insult to you) but if you appeared to have an attitude or you appeared to be a test pilot I'm not surprised!

I have been in there and spoken with Des on many an occasion about the 197 and he's a decent bloke. He offered me a test drive, but recommended I wait for a few weeks, as they are not allowed to take them over 4k just yet. He also said that because the 182 was so cheap, they get a lot of people just wanting to drive the 197 who cannot afford to buy it at the £17k asking price, and they are simply trying to cut down on the time-wasters.

Anyway hope you don't take offence.

well the 182 asking price when I went to Arnold Shark in 2004 was £15,400 so its pretty much the same. The guy in that dealer is a complete w**k, I went in young professional with my older sister, also a professional, we speak nicely etc but he was just a wankstain. tried to tell me i was too young etc etc.

That was a second hand 172 i was asking to test drive, went to bishopbriggs with my money and spent £4k more on a brand new 182, GIRUY pollockshaws, never again will I step foot in there, total tossers

everyone else seems to have the same opinion of them as me. the guy was an arse, plain and simple.
i was just asking about the car and if they were going to be getting a demo car in to another sales man when this bearded guy overhead and practically shouted at me saying "ive told you already ! we do not have a demo in" .... when i was asking if they were GOING to be getting one in. the guy i asked took my number and said hed fone if they got one.
also dont know how ur going to get a testdrive as theres only one in the showroom which is for there and not for driving. the other one i saw was waiting to be picked up as someone had just bought it.

so i certainly in no way had an attitude and went in with my 182 saying i was selling and interested to see what the new version was like. the young guy i eventually spoke to was alright. just the other guy was a wankstain and shouldnt judge me by the fact i appear young.

further more to this ... after being told from the dealer there was no 197 to test drive and wasnt going to be ive somehow managed to book one on the internet from the same dealers .... what a bunch of scrote bags
