Whats the best way to add google contacts and calender to the iphone?

I have set up CalDAV & CardDAV as i use the gmail app for my mail.

Is this the best solution or have i missed a trick?

Yes its the best solution.

I use exchange, gmail app isn't there yet.

Configure gmail on the iphone using the exchange protocol.

Throw away the 3rd party apps, then sync your contacts/mail/calendar seamlessly.

I prefer the layout/look of the new 2.0 GMAIL app.

Fixes all the things that annoyed me before .. cant think of anything else i would want it to do now except act as my default mail client (which i know it cant do)

Not much point setting up exchange just for calender and contacts surely? - I thought the DAV was better?
