Good fighting games for the PS2?

I was preferably after a boxing game but I don't think there has been a new one out for a while. I basically just want a game where you get to beat people up! I'm not really into these ones where you can do stupid special moves and stuff like that, I just want a straight up fighting game!

Can anyone recommend one?

Had a load of Uni mates up for new year, and we had a massive Soulblade session. Have tried Tekken etc, but for great fun gameplay (esp. 2 player) it can't be beaten...

fight night round 2 mate. its like fight night 2004 but you can be Ricky Hatton, which makes it a bit better i think! quite realistic and the graphics are good. and no fireballs in sight.......

Agreed, Fight Night Round 2 is great. punching system will take you a few bouts to get used to, but it's class
