Google verification failed

Hi, im trying to verify my site with google, I have uploaded the verification file and it shows when you go on the url, However google says its not correct. Im really confused. Can anyone help me?

it's probably to do with capitalisation of the URL.

http://www.nick-pitt.co.uk/Recording/googleb43f294c39bb6cad.html

is not the same as:

http://www.nick-pitt.co.uk/recording/googleb43f294c39bb6cad.html

Google has probably removed the capitalisation in tis process and is trying to access the latter URL

The link to the file works, it just says wrong content. And i dont know why?!

If it fails, try the other verification method (adding text to the site)

I always add text and it works.

oh i should have mentioned, its for a site i made in iWeb, using iMap and the only way is HTML verification

So you can't even create a sub domain to verify it?

Regardless of what tool you have used to create the site, all verification methods should work.

Got it to work, I think iMap needs to be updated as google changed the html verification since it was realised. Just had to add the file manually.
