Handbrake issue. LH rear brake stuck on.

  1.2 16v 2005
Hi all,

I'm having issues with the Clio at the moment, I have a 2005 1.2 16v.

From time to time - when I come to drive the car the passenger side rear brake sticks on when it's been parked up.

Normally this happens only in wet weather - leading me to think that there was some water ingress in the drum shoe / lining. Usually it was solved by simply dropping the car back a foot or so- unsticking the brake which releases the tension. No problems.

However, today i came out to start the car and couldn't drop it back or move it forwards as it just rose or sank on the passenger side suspension. Managed to get the car rolling again by using brute force and ignorance; however it's still noticeably dragging on the passenger side when driving now. This is the first time that this has happened so severely.

Thanks to the power of the search button and google; I'm assuming the lining has come un-bonded as this seems to be a common Clio fault. Does this seem right?

Any help would be great.

Dave
