the stub axle on a 182 is the same as a 172 and 172 cup - the shockers and springs on 172 and a 182 are interchangable ( ive tried ) so the kit ive ordered is for a 172 - there exactly the same

part number 8200171673 - oval plate CB22 ( 182 ) CB1N ( 172 )

To fit FK coilovers to a 182 you simply bore the bottom frt shocker bolt holes out by 1mm and the fit cylindrical spacers to the bolts - ive had to do the same with my Clio TT - the difference in handling is outrageous !!!!

interesting... How easy would it be to mod a set of H&R's ?

same idea, i had a lengthy chat with me j3ned eariler about it (just after i spoke to you Si)

all you have to be carefull with is the camber angle

I've just finished fitting GAZ coilovers to makavelli's 182

the reputation they have is very unjustified IMO

they're very good, plus the ride height you can set is spot on (and that's rare for me to say so)

if you're on a budget and looking for coilovers for your 182, then i would defo recommend the GAZ setup!!!

In germany they now sell adjustable H&R gaz coilovers for the 182 with cup pack.
Front axle: 30-70mm
Rear axle: 20-50mm
price: 1000€

A really basic question: gaz coilovers seems to be a shock absorber and spring, so if you fit them in place of the standard shocks what do you do with the original springs?
