Hardware search??

Any time I turn my laptop on is says it has detedted new hardware then It wants to do a search to fing the software for it. I havent added any hardware or ened used anything new. Any ideas why its doin it???

Does it say what hardware it is. Also has it ever completed.

nop just says unknown hardware. let if run through the search and it cant find anythin.

maybe time for a wee disk cleanup and defrag???

Have you been into control panel device manager and seen any hardware that has a yellow ? next to it. you may be able to see further info about what hardware it is from there.

aahhhhh

Again came uo unknown device etc. Tried reinstalling but it asked for a cd. So i've just disabled the device see what that does.
