windows media player site has some, then the bbc planet earth also has some.

good luck streaming them from your pc if you are using wirelsss though, didn't work for me, not enough bandwidth.

I transferred them to a fast usb drive and that worked fine, it only supports wmv afaik too.

Which is why Apple introduced their Apple Extreme 802.11n router, on the launch of the new Apple TV. :)
It's draft spec (802.11n), but that means very little.

Should be enough for HD content!

You can stream HD video even with 108meg wireless... I've got the 802.11n and it's unecessary and seems to suffer from interferance more than the old one giving it a very irractic connection speed at times :dapprove:

problem is that surely you have a direct connection between the laptop and the 360, not through a router so that doesn't matter.

laptops are going to be centrino so 54mb at best and then you are likely to have the wireless dongle for the 360 which again is not going to be better that 54mb so it doesn't really matter what your router is as there are other things that can't keep up in the setup anyway, unless you use a separate dongle for the laptop and use a wired connection for the 360, but then it isn't a wireless setup.

laptop - 360 is via router mate

already successfully streamed mp3s off my lappy..

360 cable
laptop wireless
linksys router

Usenet has TONS of stuff, my current collection is getting on for 1.5TB ;)

54g should be more than capable. HD content is about 20mbps absolute tops, most material available now is 10-15mbps. So unless you have a crappy signal you should be fine.

It is slightly careless of manufacturers to be releasing "draft n", it's going to cause all sorts of headaches in the future. I would avoid such devices until the IEEE has actually solidified the standard.

what so both are wired into the router?

if its a wireless connection then I think it may be a point to point connection between the two when streaming, even though they might both be connected to the router?

router is wired to xbox, and router is wireless to laptop.

Same here although it does mean the bottle neck is where the 360 is connected by a wire as that's only 100mb/s

There's a connection test in media centre that checks the connection speed and tells you if it's good for HDTV, just normal TV or sweet FA

well i downloaded a 1080p clip off windows media download site for a terminator 2 trailer and it streamed fine

but was only small on my screen??

could do with some full sized vid clips of some high detail action to see what HD is like..

the T2 clip is full screen, must be something else making it small, maybe not the bandwidth to play big or your connection to tv settings, is it component or vga and what is it set to?

VGA and im set to the 1360x720 or something is it ?

thing is/ if i play some ''other'' clips streamed through xbox they stretch to full screen?

and theyre s**t res ones!!
