Head Unit keeps reseting

Hey all, Ive just bought a Pioneer DEH - P6900UB head unit, i spent ages getting all the settings right then turned the car off i came back to it later and when i turned the ignition on the head unit spat the cd out and everything had been reset.

Anyone have an idea why its doing this??

on the pioneer loom that comes out of the unit there are a yellow and a red wire. Plug the red into the yellow and yellow into red. There are bullet connectors in the middle of that loom to allow you to do this. It swaps the permanent and switched ignition wires over hope that helps

would it make a different that the H/U is from america??

not that im aware of. the radio probably wont work cos of the frequencies and you may not have rds!

mine odes exaclty the same i got a roadstar cd player everytime i turn the engine off all the radio stations and settings it reseted

It's cos the direct connection to the battery and battery connection from the ignition are connected wrong way around.

Frequencies are fine on them, only the aisian ones are significatly different. You just don't have RDS.
