Don't laugh . I was in Aldi yesterday and they had an mp3 headunit for £50 . I think it was about 45w , and had a port for either an ipod / external mp3 player or usb , can't remember the full details but its always worth a look . Plus i think you get a 3 year warranty with it so if after say 2 years you want shut of it , take it back with your receipt and box and you'll get a full refund as they dont have the facilities in these kind of stores for testing anything electrical , or if its just sh*t take it back , you always get your money back with no questions asked .

i'd rather burn the £50 than buy a hu from aldi tbh

He only wants a cheap headunit mate . Read the post , you can get your money back if you want inside the 3 year warranty period . Now tell me another place where you can do this ?

Don't knock it 'til you've seen it or tried it :approve:

Just bought a draper 3 way 12v adaptor from aldi today for £2.99 , looked on drapers website and its £5.66 :rasp:

You take it back and say it doesn't fit , use your imagination a little bit more . If after a couple of years you want to get rid of it take it back and say it doesn't work and get a full refund :rasp:

I think you're being a bit harsh there. You may ultimately be right, but if it's got a no quibbles money back guarantee then I don't see the harm in trying it for a few weeks. It might suprise and actually be ok for what it is. It'll probably have no pre-outs and no EQ but he's only after a bog standard, listen to music/radio affair, nothing special. Don't knock it till you've tried it, etc.

Saying that though, the link I put up above has decent branded units for £50.
