headlight cover cosmetic problem

Hello there,

I have a clio 172 2005 and the plastic covering over the headlights has become almost matted and unclear.

Apparently there is an easy way of making them look brand spanking new.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

This must be similar to the early 90's escort van I saw this morning on a 2002 plate.

I tried the Megs kit as mine were really scummy. It looked like it had worked a treat at first but all it did was polish the scum which is now discolouring again. Next step is the more aggresive wet sanding route. Still got a bit of the Plast-Rx from the Megs kit for the final polish.

haha im just trying to work it out.. the vin says its from 04/05 but it doesnt have a double exhaust so it cant be a 182 can it?
its definitely 20 16v though.. as far as the suspension differene, i couldnt tell you.
rego papers say 203rs.. not really sure exactly what that indicates.

ok thanks - i'll give the kit a go because they arent looking too scummy yet. hopefully that does the trick.

Hello mate, welcome to the forum! I tried one of these restoration kits and it looked great for about a week and then came back :/ I've since had better luck with some G3 compound and a drill attachment. It's come up really well and stayed like it for about a month now!

sounds like a 182 to me with twin exhausts. post up a piccy and one of us will be able to confirm.
