Headunit in DCi

  dCi 65 + C2 (<Sold)
Won't f*cking fit because of a stupid bit of plastic sticking out from the back of the hole where the headunit goes.

My original train of thought involved a hammer and chisel but I thought I'd ask here first.

Anybody else encountered this?

thats there to hold the standard unit straight,it wont make any difference to fitting it in so long as you make sure the cables are out the way and also you havent got a rubber bung on the back of the unit

I have buddy. The thing is, the standard HU is about an 1.5 inches shorter than the Kenwood one, expect the part you plug the power leads in to is extended.

The Kenwood is flush at the back, hence it not going fully in.

  Better than yours. C*nt.
Don't need to IIRC, the problem is your stump on the back of it will be too big. Take it out and use one off an Alpine, also take the dash top off and you can see to wiggle. Tis what I had to do for the Trophy!

to be honest its not even worth buying, the alpine cage will keep it straight and true :)

True actually - just looked and it's a 'boring old' CD player - I only did it as mine was a fold-out screen job and a little force at the end of that is a lot at the back to move it out of place!

Fail on my part here lads, it was getting caught on a little lip, shoogled it past that and it fitted fine!

Just the standard one being shorter threw me off. Thanks for your help anyway.
