Headunit Problem

Hiya, Basically my cd player wont power up even though iv plugged the original plugs into the adapter and the other end of the adapter in the back of the headunit. It was working for a short period but only when i half pushed it into the gap it goes in. Also the Headunit doesnt have one of the metal case things that they click into. Do i need one and if so where can i get one from. Thanks

you can get universal cages but its better to stick to the correct one so it will actually hold it.what make,i may have one i can post out
checked the fuse to the radio?checked the fuses for the radio in the fuse box?

hiya yea it was a fuses but not the radio, clock one i was checking. It was one on the bottom part of the fuse box. I had the radio working but now it has stopped and think it may be the wiring adaptor. Yea i need a cage if ya have one that fits for sale. Its a Pioneer DEH-P80 and my cars a Phase 2 MArk 2 if that matters lol Thanks
