headunit problem

Bought an amp yesterday, as im sick of having sh*t sound in mi car. (i had to sell all my last kit cos i was broke)

anyway, still have all the existing wiring etc, so wired it all up, no sound out of the sub. Bizzare, changed the wiring, etc. checked rcas in back of headunit ok etc.

still nothing, so i tried with the front speakers, which were going into the back for the previous 4 channel amp i had.

anyway all i did is touch them on the L+ and R- and the lot turned off. no fuses blew, but now i cant get any sound out of the HU, and it was smoking!

it gets really hot quickly, and the display doesnt light up any more....

What have i done lol!

sounds like you fused something within the headunit...I reckon its pretty stuffed now

Sounds like you have blown something inside mate

Take to a local car audio place. Send it of they will do a free quote and you can decide yay or nay!!!

Sounds like you have shorted saomething out. Dont turn the headunit on again! May be able to blag as a warranty repiar if still in warranty!
