Well hello,

I've been looking for a nice Clio for bloody ages but got sidetracked by an EP3 Civic type r for a year or so.. until i stumbled across a PH1 172 with only 44k on the clock! I believe its Oddessy blue?? But its in cracking condition! and its going to be transformed into a Race Car as part of the Business myself and a friend are creating! www.rkracing.co.uk We specialise in mainly classic touring cars escort mk1+2 and this is a side line for us!

As you can see from the pic the car is mint! were going to be going slowly with this build but only using good quality parts!

Good to be part of the forum and hope to meet some guys and get some good advice from you all!

Hi Russ, almost too good to track but you might as well get as good as possible I guess.
Two things
1. Become a member, well worth it IMO.
2. Pics of Escorts please, my late Dad used to hillclimb Mk1s, one being ex John Fitzpatrick's Broadspeed 1300 and another being a Twink. So they are close to my heart.:cheers:

This is going to be something quite special! 6 linked, big 2.1 Connaught engine circa 280-300bhp.. 8x15" tyres and it will sit very low but still have normal travel! strut tops are 1" higher than normal, even a cut out in the chassis for the exhaust! But im not going to go into that too much

I agree, but its got to look like it belongs in that period. i will post some updates on that car as well as the red mk2 race car when we make changes
