I'll be selling mine shortly (from next week) - it's a 2004 182 with cup packs. Essentially that means it has all the toys (cruise control/climate control/electirc window mirrors/xenon headlight etc...but it has a better spolier then the non-cup, also has a splitter, and lower suspension.

Mine is going to be 5300....just waiting to get some standard wheels on it next week. Link to pistonheads advert which I have literally just updated is:

http://pistonheads.com/sales/791288.htm

Done about 42500 miles, has full renault service history, long mot, and tax until end of Jan '09...don't think there is much cheaper for this money - I paid 6500 for it 11 months ago!

I agree a good price there although ive seen a similar priced one not full fat but only done 30kish in autotrader...ive heard aswell the cambelt needs changing somewhere along the line, so if i buy one now i dont expect a few months down the line 2 change it.

btw here is the link to the one in autotrader let me know your thoughts

That is quite cheap...but that's because it is a cup. Difference is you don't get climate control, xenon headlights, leather/alcantara seats (get cheap spec cloth ones), a rear bench all in one with no split/folding rear seats, no rear headrests. Not sure if you get abs/traction control - think you do in a 182 cup, whereas you don't in a 172 cup.

your right its not as much car but i do love that colour

yeah i do love the colour, whats the deal with getting the cambelt/aux done then? is it something that should be done at a certain time sorry for the noob questions just that i have no idea lol but yeah i do find that autotrader add quite tasty

but all that extra stuff just ads weight  so it depends what your goin to use the car for, if you do alot of miles and like comfort, go for a ff cup, if your goin to use a 182 what its really for i.e the track then i would go for that autotrader 182 cup my trophy hasnt got climate control and xenons but it dosent bother me alot less to go wrong if you ask me

well they need them done around 40000miles or so and it has to be done or the belt will stap over time and thats a new engine:eek: they are a big job and can cost up to 400quid to have done so go for one thats had it done and make sure you see the reciepts for the work too

Your only saying that because you haven't got it in your Trophy lol. The 182 cup only saves 20kgs over the 182 ff...and that is only a quarter of my weight at about 13.5 stone lol!

That isn't going to notice. You could have stuff in your boot that weighs that...and I'd take xenon's/having a proper back seat/having leather and alcantara seats for that weight gain.

The cambelt should be done around 60k miles or 5 years old I thought? Mine will be due it about halfway through next year....if you go to a specialist it should be about 450 quid.

wow i thought it was around the 45k mark ha that leave me with 25k before mine needs doing

If I could get a 182ff with 40ish n cambelt/aux done for 5kish that would be perfect, so anyone got that spec for me? Lol if not I think the autotrader one would be a safe bet

just have a good look on pistonheads.com im sure ther will be one for you on ther, but i realy like that blue cup,:D and you can always buy second hand ff seats and stick them in down the line

I'd prefer if I did find one with them changes done that's why I'm tempted with that blue 182 cup and I'm sure I could get a few good years out of it with out any major problems, if I buy one without the changes I'm always gonna have the worry of paying out for the cambelt

  Tiger R6 / Saxo Vts
But then a cambelt is only 450 ish, how much would it cost for 182 ff seats/climate control/xenons.....a lot more then 450 I'd imagine.

But you pays your money and takes you choice. Everyone wants something different.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I've found myself a 182 picking it up wednesday take a look at it let me know you thoughts....its on www.autoquake.com n if you go 2 sports cars and select the unavailable box its on there with 45kish on the clock

Welcome mate

Just had a quick look at that advert. The car seems to have a few dents over a few panels but other than that it looks clean. Has the aux belt been changed? I think I am right in saying that the aux belt needs to be changed every 36k/3yrs and then again at 72k/5yrs along with the cambelt. The pics of the service book only shows the same garage doing the work and just ticking air filter on everyone???? 58K miles on the clock?......am I looking at the right advert lol

Welcome to the forum.

I personally think you'll be lucky to find a 182 where the belt has been done, as they are due at 5 years and 182's are just coming up to 5 year old now. It's something that will have to be done and depending on where you live there might be a specialist nearby that can do it at a decent price.

I would say don't let it put you off getting one, you'l love it!

Surely it should have had the aux belt done though as that's to be done at 36k?
