my name is andré, i'm portuguese and currently living in Switzerland!
i've been registered here since 2005 but never posted! just came once in a while to check out the cars posted here witch are amazing!
now i'm passing by a lot more often to check on some very interesting projects and get some ideas to my car witch is a Clio 182!
since i'm introducing myself, i might as well do it properly and tell you the whole story!
up until now, i've had 3 cars, all Renaults, all Clios and here they are:
'94 Clio I ph I - 1.2 - 2004 > 2007
this is how it looked like when i sold it.
outside it had badly painted phase III front and rear bumpers - NEVER SAY YES TO FREE PAINT-JOBS... and that plastic thing (don't know the name...) without the lettering in the rear.
inside i changed the steering wheel, gear knob and had a pioneer head-unit, speakers, and sub-woofer with a blaupunkt amp and a custom made car-pc installation.
then everything inside was stripped, sold it and bought this:
'05 Clio II ph II - 1.5dCi Societé (2 seats version) - 2007 > 2008
outside it had the RS front grill, 15" AEZ Xylo, Eibach PRO Springs, aerotwin wipers and silver turn-lights.
inside i just installed the pioneer head-unit i removed from the Clio I.
then, when i came to Switzerland, a friend who once had had the same model told me i couldn't register the dCi with swiss plates because this model (with no back seats) wasn't sold here so i didn't bother checking if it was true or not and just stripped the extras and shipped it to Portugal and sold it to buy this:
'04 Clio 182 - 2.0 - 2008 > ...
my dream car! (out of the list of the one's that ordinary people can buy :rasp
since here in switzerland we must have two sets of wheels, i used the 15" AEZ from the dCi for the winter tyres and got rid of those ugly, sleeper-style, steels it came with.
outside just installed the stuff i already had from the dCi (wipers and turn-lights...)
i still have the eibach springs to install and some other mod's are planned - nothing special - but first i need to get some info on the swiss law to know what i can or can't do and what i need to do to use the mod's legally...
