Help! I lost some screws down my air vents!

I was changing my tax disc, and I dropped 3 screws from it, down the air vents! So frustrating, but how do I get them out? Where does the pipe from the screen vents go to? Any suggestions greatly appreciated guys.

Im dreading changing mine, I think I will take it off the screen and get a new fixing kit!

Been a couple of threads on here about it, dash top of job IIRC.

Get one of those telescopic screw driver things that are bendy... if they don't fall out somewhere you can go to halfords and get one of the ripspeed replacement kits which have a few spare screws

Seen this posted before .

Put a cloth on the dash to catch the screws .

You could try one of these if you can see / get to the screws .

You see em in pound shops .

Otherwise you've just added to the many rattles of a Renault ,lol

as said, don't be silly, just put a cloth over the vents in future.

^^^^Yeah that's what I should have done! I just wondered if the tube for the vents ended somewhere under the dash that was remotely accessible?

I remember someone saying they had dropped a penny down there a while ago. Think they had to take the dash apart. Test if the screws are magnetic, tape the magnet to the end of a coat hanger and fish them out that way.

I did that on my corsa, i just left it with 3 screws in lol

FFS 3 screws lol I always worry I'll drop 1 but 3?!

The more recent Richbrook holders twist apart I think.

I hold a small plastic takeaway dish under mine to catch bits, once got a screw stuck at the foot of the windscreen, used a telescopic magnet to retrieve it.

Grrrr........I got so angry I felt like I could have smashed the car up with a sledgehammer!!!!!!
I see the funny side now though!
I dropped the first one, got pi**sed off, then the next one, and got even more pi**ed off. Then when I went to put the remaining ones back, I dropped another!
Just thinking about it is pi**ing me off rigght now!!!!! LOL

Ive put cash in the top tray above the clio in my old clio. Ive braked hard and its gone into the air vent. Got most out apart from a £1 coin which fell into the slot. Just left it, could hear it roll from side to side when pushed hard..lol...
