Help! Laptop Dead!!

Hi,

I switched on laptop this morning and was confronted by this message.

STOP: c0000218 {Registry File Failure}
The registry cannot load the hive (file)
\System\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
or its log or alternate.
It is corrupt,absent,or not writable.

Beginning dump of physical memory
Physical memory dump complete.

Contact system administrator or technical support group (ClioSport, lol) for further assistance.

Can anyone tell me what or where the problem is and, if possible let me know a solution.

It's a Dell Inspiron 630m by the way.

Just try putting in the windows disc and telling it to repair, that should fix it up. You're using XP I guess?

Tried it, same error message.

Sounds like hard drive or memory, if they test ok then try a reinstall.
