help no indicators!

hi, was driving along today and for no reason atal my hazard lights came on! :S the hazard switch seems to be working fine, I even disconnected it and it made no difference the hazards were still on. Just had to pull the fuse to get them to go off but now I have no indicators!

any ideas what the problem may be?

could be...the alarm has always worked in the past tho

Try and set it off then - sit in the car and lock it with the zapper. Wait for a bit then open the door and if the alarm sounds then you know it's working! lol

ok cool cheers il give it a go, if that is the problem how can a fix it?

when i lock and unlock the car tho they still stay on.

If you were driving a Mk1 I would have said you had a leaky sunroof getting the sensor in the roof wet and shorting it out.

But as you don't...

And they still stay on regardless of locked or unlocked?

Sounds like you have electrical issues somewhere lol

You could try disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes to see if something in the ECU needs to be reset? (Might need to enter a code for the radio afterwards if you do that though.)

That's me all out of ideas after that I'm afraid lol, other than call an autoelectrician! :S

yeah they stay on if the car is locked or unlocked.

Il give the battery idea a go and see if it works, fingers crossed!
