**HELP Sony head unit installation**

Hi all,

I got my 53 reg clio in Aug and I an trying to put in a Sony head unit i have all the connections to get this done however I want my steering wheel control to be operational. I have bought the correct wires to do this however, i need to remove the panel where the stereo is just now (and where the hazard lights are etc) to get the connection in behind the clock on the dash. I have alsolutally no idea how this comes off and i dont want to be pulling at it and break it.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME.

Hey, I know the problem you're having, just depends what wires you have to get the steering controls to work. From what research I've done into this there's 2 different options, the autoleads option which generally you lose the display but have to wire up behind it... therefore needing half the dash off. There's also connecters made by "Connect 2", some of which should keep the display too (I'm hoping to get these shortly for my 01 Clio).

to get the top of the dash off remove the 2 silver strips on teh dash and there is torx screws behind them, remove them then i think there is one at each side of the vent to blow air onto the front windscreen but cant quite remember 100% been a while since i last done it, watch out teh clips that hold it on are quite weak and one of mine broke and the top of the dash doesnt sit properly now!
