Help Wanted.....

My cars Exhaust gas monitor warning light has just appeared on the dash :S

What would be the cause of this?

I had a de-cat pipe fiited to my car a couple of months ago,
if this was the reason for the light wouldn't it have come on straight after the pipe was fitted?

In the book it says to take it to a renault dealer, is this the best thing to do?

Any help would be great, thanks Louise. :)

If its running normally then its prob just down to that de-cat, but its unusual that it didn't come on sooner i guess.

best bet would be to take it to an independant garage to get the error code (to determine if its the decat) then you can have the light reset at the same time. only costs me a fiver at my local garage with CLiP but im always down there lol

Unplugging the sensor on the 182 won't work as it wired different ECU wise.

Only fi is to clear the fault or leave it unless the sensor is wrong or else wire up a bypass unit.
