Help with Bulbs Please

  Clio 197

Im looking to replace my sidelight & interior bulbs (all are the same).

I want something much brighter than whats in there already.

Plus I wish to do the same with my reverse lights.

Any suggestions?

Ta,

PS Do the so called PIAA bulbs actually emit more "watts" than they consume?

Dunno...

For example, they have H7 bulbs (normally 55w), which emit 110w of light (but still consume 55w).

What are they comparing to? Bulbs 20 years ago?

Oms... im running philips bulbs for both my dipped and sidelights...

i would say the sidelights are about 30% brighter than "normal" ones.

because you have 2 lights? 2 x55 is 110?

the mixture of gases can be changed to extract more light but they do cost more money

So....

The verdict:

Are the PIAA bulbs actually brighter?

What about the Philips Vision bulbs?

Compared to the std renault bulbs in my car.

for sidelight lamps i dont think many filamet lamps will beat the the PIAA 1w ones

if you want proper bulbs PIAA are your only option

most of the other brands are all of a similar price and quality, Philips being about the best of the normally priced stuff IMO
