Car  Clio RT GT Turbo convsn
I registered some time ago. well, not too ,long ago. i had a Hyundai Accent in Burgandy

I have now got my hands on my new car... and here she is....

Renault Clio RT 1.4 k reg. With R5 GTT conversion.
R5 Suspension and brakes.Standard Garette 2 Turbo. TIM Turbo Guage.
Nothing else yet. The car still has teething problems,but luckily all these are the cheaper things to fix. More piccys to come with updates...etc
Opinions? Critisisms? Suggestions for what to do to it welcome.
Wanna keep it looking reasonably standard.
 
Looks good..very stealth.

I'd spend any money on performance mods and leave the exterior & interior as is.
 
Approximatly 120bhp. at a guess. yet to get it on the road for a full test and tweek. got a lot of things to come onto it. front mount IC uprated sparks,pistons headgasket... rah rah rah etc.lol
 
looks nice and tidy!! :D

The only thing i'd do to the exterior is change the wheels, but thats just my personal opinion - those wheels are gash. but i'd definately leave it standard looking :D

Shove all the money into the mechanics :D

Yeah it is standard r5 GTT engine...at the moment, havent had it long

wheels...i like them, theyre r5 wheels. but yeah opinions r opinions...thanks for all the feedback?

Would look kinda cool if you get the wheels refurbished in gloss black, I think having the GTT wheels is quite a smart touch.

I'd keep it looking similar to how it is but just smarten it up and getting it looking showroom condition. :D :D
 
I would go for a safe 160bhp, but get the engine out and get the bay detailed and cleaned up. I like that alot, good track toy.
 
engine bay mate ^ hoses etc colour parts an that. I think it looks cool keep it stealth.. I wouldn't change a thing, maybe clear side repeaters at best. Stealth is the best way...
 
Once removed the bay will probably be pretty tatty, along with the engine block. If you got it repainted, and detailed the engine, it would look like a very tidy set up.
 
That's looks really nice, i like how it has the R5 wheels too.

Exterior wise, get some phase 2 bump strips and have them colour coded and de-tango it.
 
R5 wheels are a nice touch because of the engine but personally id get some new wheels from a performance point of view, some lightweight 15" wheels (Team Dynamics Pro race 1.2s or OZ F1 Cups maby) with some good tyres like Goodyear eagle F1s or Yokohama A539s to give it plenty grip in the corners and help get the power down when its running more boost

smoked side repeaters, silvervision indicator bulbs in the front and smoked rear lights to go with the stealth look. some new simple, clean reg plates with no screws or text under the actual reg could also colourcode the wing mirrors, door handles and bump strips, or even lose the bump strips, door locks and renault badge on the bonnet

Steelies, tartan rug on the parcel shelf, christian fish on the boot lid and a national trust/ "dog is for life..." sticker on the rear window. Furry steering wheel and seat covers, 1.2 badging.
Pull up at the lights next to a 1.0 corsa with lexus lights and a bb4, leave him standing! Proper sleeper!

thanks for the comments ladies and gentle men. so extremely helpful bits n bobs on there. I will be going for the sleeper look. smoking the back lights and side repeaters. i have debadged every part of the car mentioning 1.4. i have kept the rt badge, i have taken the rear wiper blade off now, and the front grill and drill 5 air holes in the front bonnet.gives it a touch of a "im special" look. thats what ill do to exteriors.

the fan idea. i much like as it will struggle in summer. but with a new rad and twin fans i shouldnt see a problem. and front mounted IC to come. Im starting to like this site alot as the is alot of activity so if you need to talk to some one you can get answers within minutes :rasp:

Any more comments feel free to chuck em in.

i think ill be coming to some of your meets sometimes :)
