Does anyone on here host websites? I know that conneh does but he hasn't got back to me for a while. Id rather pay someone on here as i dont trust half of these online websites....

I also dont know what im doing AT ALL. I want a domain name and quiet a lot of space as it will be mostly for my photography

Can someone help me

I've just bought a domain for £9.99 for a year and hosting for £1 per month Luke, so yeah you need both mate. Pain to get everything up and running, I've been coding for three weeks and still not up and running.

You mean you have the site saved on your computer waiting to upload? You need a host and a domain and once that's set up you can use cPanel, or whichever management system they use, to upload it in the file manager.

I use Relichost. I would recommend them, except their server went down and my website reverted to an older version lol. Seem good other than that blip though. Wouldn't have been a problem if I'd saved the updates I'd made to my site to my computer as well.

2. I'm fucked off with it.

Basically, over the past few days we have had constant DOS attacks on our servers and they have spent more time down than up. We are also going to University soon - so being able to manage the servers and our lifes has been a struggle - and it can only get worse.

So today... we shut it all down, it has got out of our hands. It has gone from a big game server company with numerous dedicated boxes, to nothing.

I do apologise to anyone who has hosting with me - backups will be available, however most people were close to renewal anyway.

It's a shame, but these things happen

I've been happy with these for about 5 years now mate.
Bizzarly, Keith seems to work 24/7. On 2 occasions I've emailed him about minor issues (for minor issues read 'I've ballsed up my email account or deleted half my site accidentally') on a Saturday, thinking I'd hear from him on the Monday, and I've got reply or resolution from him within a couple of hours on the same day!

Iv found that too, emailed him twice now and i have got a reply off him within 1hour. I sent an email to him at 11pm and got a reply. I was shocked and was also one of the main reasons i went with them

I have to say I run 3 web sites and the performance is fantastic, also the tech he is running is top notch.
UI used to be with discount ASP which was great but this wipes the floor with it. (I also used to use, ActiveISP and Freehosts which are nothing in comparison)
