Hotmail and showing when emails have been read!

This bugs me about hotmail. Microsoft have it with outlook but they dont with Hotmail.

Is there any reason why they dont have a function that shows when emails i have sent have been read?

send them an email and ask them if they have read it.

it only works in outlook when using exchange and within the same organisation normally.

Even then don't think you can force people to send a read receipt, they get a choice. I think.
 
  Better than yours. C*nt.
As above. Lotus Notes defaults to automatically send a read receipt if requested, but Outlook asks if they'd like to.
