Panasonic do some really good house phones, iv had 2 sets now and only replaced the old 1's after many years! Iv got a set now, very easy to use, loud, awesome battery life aswell!

The B&O phone above is very stylish etc but it's still just a phone - and it looks a bit ... phallic!

Using Panasonic at the moment, some of their newer stuff looks a bit plastic-ky though.

can you link different dect handsets to each other?

Yes as long as your base station and the handset are both GAP compatible. Might not be able to access all the features of the base station though - e.g. my base station is a panasonic answerphone, but can only use the answerphone functions with the handsets that came with it.
