Those icons on the top right, in particular the stuffit expander, the pc screen thing and the bluetooth thing.

How do i get rid of them? I've been looking for ages :(

You'd have to look in the settings/preferences of each application which is putting the icon there.

The display one is in the preferences pane under displays.
The bluetooth one is in the bluetooth preferences.

Is there any reason that you have stuffit installed? It's a piece of crap and afaik, it's not 1984 anymore....I can't remember the last time I even saw a sit archive!

Cheers mate.

RE StuffIt I thought it was the norm. I'm not sure how else I'd open zip files if I didn't have it?

He probably downloaded it because it was in the top 10 free software list on the app store.

Download and install "The Unarchiver". It looks and behaves like the native decompressor, it just supports many more types.

Press apple, click the icon and drag it off the taskbar.

Obviously that won't uninstall the apps but it will get rid of the stuff from there. For now..

I had this problem with logmein.

It installed a shortcut on that bar and even after uninstalling the program and using various programmes to remove the bugger it remained on that bar.

It took a senior AppleCare tech an hour and half to remove it lol

Good luck.
