How Hard is.......

How hard is it to wire in a sub and amp in the boot of a car ? And What do you have to do Thanks .

extremely easy, not got one but helped a few mates with them because I own a brain lol. couldn't write you a good list so will leave that to someone else. :)

what car u got ??

u need a constant positive run from battery through firewall , through car to boot , to amp, a negative from amp to any metal on car, a remote wire to headunit (if aftermarket) , if not to a switched positive feed, also 2 rca leads from a after market head unit to amp, if its a standard hu then u need a speaker to rca converter.

its not too hard mate, u need a power lead down one side of the car (from the battery to the amp).. this line needs to be fused. u will then need to get an earthing point.. usually some part of the body work.. and attach that to your amp using a similar size wire to your power..

then you run the RCA leads and remote anntenna (thin blue one) down the other side of your car.. i tuck all my wires into the sills.. the hardest part is finding a way through to the engine for the power lead, but im sure someone on here will be able to help u find out where it is on your car..

what do you drive?

Thanks Mate Just one more thing where does the blue wire conect to on the head unit ??? Thanks .

yes there should either be a blue wire saying "remote lead" or something like that or on some of the kenwoods there is just a peg on the back of the headunit, which u connect a spade connector to. best to check the head units manual, should tell you in there.
