How many miles...

How many miles can i o when the fuel light comes on on my vlaver? Im trying to see how far i can get off £25 of super unleaded. So far its 239 miles. and light has been on for 30 miles!!! how many miles do you get when fuel light comes on then????

i thought it was about 50, not a gd idea m8 2 do that though on an old car

ull b running on all the old crap from bottom of ur tank etc, nice clogged up fuel filter, and if the car runs out then ull have a nice job of getin it going again

take it u got spare can of petrol filled up in the car, or u just risking it like a mad man

Ive got a 182 so its not relevant to your post but Ive gone 26 miles in traffic with the light on.

Ive got a 9 mile drive home tonight and theres a petrol station just at end of my road! hope i make it...lol as im mobile less today so will be walking home and leaving my valver on a very busy road!!

If you go more than 30, then you really are running it fine.

I tried on the way to Scotland (ClioSport Europe Trip 2004!).. I failed. I got about 32/35 I think? Oh, then a mile of kangarooing.. then *BLAAH*. Nothing.

Took 10l of Petrol to get it started again, hehe.

I dunno if Williams light works different.. I know 16vs pump fuel from reserve tank into main one when light comes on.. Williams doesnt.. it just uses fuel from the reserve tank when needed - Im guessing it works out the same tho.

Dont wanna scare ya, but borrow some money from someone.. get some petrol.. hehe.

Just borrowed a tenner from petty cash at work.... Bah! they spoil all the fun. I mentioned to the boss (who pays our AA subscription) that i was going to try them out on the way home, and he swiftly got out the petty cash tin and gave me a tenner
