Everyone talks like its a massive difference! It aint! Noticable yes!
My valver still seems to beat most cars on the road and more to the point, most cars seem to run 17s nowadays!
Youll still have your 15s too for when you get bored or if you go 1/4 miling!
Ill have to agree to disagree with you there mate!! lol
Its not just the sraight line acceleration thats so affected - cos i admit it aint that bad. But its also the handling and sharpness of turning etc that is ruined by 17"s!! And it is ruined by 17"s!!
If your going for looks then go for 17"s mate! Thats what i did 2 years ago when i fitted em!
But now im going performance 15"s are the only choice for me!
See this is what i dont understand really?! When i had my standard phase2s on and i tried to corner with any pace my car would drift all over the place and the front lost traction stupily easily. With the 17s theyre is much better traction and i can push the car much more.Quote: Originally posted by G16NNN on 06 August 2004

Whys this? It seems to go against what everybody says! and dont want any bold tyre comments!
Shouldnt have had bold tyres.... ....
Seriously though, maybe you had worse tyres on your 15"s that werent as grippy as your better tyres on your 17"s??
Did you alter the suspension setup of your car after fitting your 17"s?? Your car looks fairly low?
Funny Guy!Quote: Originally posted by G16NNN on 06 August 2004

Thats a fair point about the willy track m8. However, i think the problems eves has is down to the wheel width rather than circumferance - my 1.8 looks as low as his and i have no problems but then again my wheels are standard width (6") wheras his will probably be 7" - if prima do the wheels in 17*6.5 i think i should be ok....Quote: Originally posted by FelixWood on 06 August 2004
the only other thing i would think about is youve got the wider track from a willy havent you, which means your gonna have more clearance problems than a normal valver! E.g. eves willy on 16s rubs like a f**ker, and full lock is just a fantasy for him!Ridiculous! looks the f**king nuts tho!
