Thanks for the help.

Rob, I'd prefer to have 2 fobs for it to be honest, so if its only a few hundred then it'll put my mind at rest.

I wouldnt mind knowing, mines an import and didnt come with one fitted. Been broke into once, woulda heard the c***s if it had one. About time i got it sorted. Anyone?

Got quoted £315 for a Toad Ai6106 fitted with a couple of sensors, £209 fitted on eBay without the extra sensors.

Mine has an aftermarket one which i was told was cat1 but surly if the standard one is cat 1 then this will be cat 2 or 3?

How do i find out?

  None :(
If your adding an aftermarket one, get a clifford and get the extra feature of remote engine start :)

Well useful for winter mornings. I had it on my old old Astra i do miss the remote engine start. Oh and being able to plug your laptop into the alarm and change the noise of the alarms, pitch/tone/type, change the sensor values etc, ok this was around 4 years ago but im sure it's only got better.

Infact this has got me thinking because mine is an import with no alarm and i like my gadgets :D

i had a Clifford concept 650 fitted in my last car with proximity sensors that cost £380 inclusive ( supplied and fitted )and worth every penny,
if you have a after market cat 1 you should get all the paper work including fitting certificate this is the bit your insurance ask to see
