how often does the transmission fluid need replacing?

Going for a service this week, was wondering if it's a good idea to change the gearbox fluid too, considering my car's done 250,000 km...

there's no interval for it in my service book, and it's not something that you usually change at all frequently

i'd defo change it if it's done 250K Kms though. are you on the original box?

The garage told me that it's only changed when the clutch is changed

quite possibly, the seller didn't tell me anything about changing the gearbox

there is a chap over on Renaultsport who is on 162k in his cup..


change it mate, i changed mine after 110k and iv just done it again (129k) and it feels completely different, will improve the feel no end

My cup is on 133k (214k km) miles with original box and clutch. If I hadn't switched to the 182 for daily driving it'd be on 144k by now.

In Denmark it has to be changed every 60.000 Km.

i would say 72k or every 5 years

If you haven't got a touch like a rapist then the boxes will last just fine, don't know why people are so supprised.

I do mine every 2 years. Not like it costs a lot.
