How to make ur dci faster

anyone any hints or tips?

i already have a t-box, wich isnt instaled yet, im not sure bout gettin an IK cos i had one in my petrol clio b4 and the economy was awfull

maybe in the long run i mite look out a dci 100 model and remove the parts? would this go strait into a dci 80??

with the t-box on the 80bhp model i can be sittin on 100-102 bhp? then wif IK maybe 105ish with the turbo off the 100model maybe ill be lookin round 125ish bhp???

do u think these figures are stupid??

the main differences between the 80bhp and the 100bhp is fuel injection pressures,boost pressures and the ecu mapping will be slightly different. having a chip will possibly bring the bhp up to the 100bhp so swapping bits of the 100bhp model wont gain you anything above what the chip has already achieved. modern dci engines seem to respond well to chips. for example a chip on a oldish dci laguna would gain you 30bhp. not sure of any places that do them though you would have to do a search around.

i new that u cudnt just simply replace the parts from the 100 - was just a rough guideline

all parts are interchangable but since your having a chip it would be pointless. not sure if you would get 30bhp as that was just an example but normally dcis get good gains from chips so you never know.

Ok the 100dci and the 80dci are different engines same basic bits but 100 has uprated and stronger parts. You could swap all the bits but there would be a big bill.

An induction kit or whatever wont make much more powerabout 2 I would guess.

The 100dci turbo is better as it runs higer pressure more efficiently so a 10% increase is possible I guess but to take advanatage you need a remaped software. The custom reamap + IK + 100dci turbo and you would be looking at about 115hp maybe 120.

Dont forget the 80 dci gives about 85hp in real life. Tunners claim a 30hp gain but dont mention normally that its 30hp from the offical figure which is often quite a few hp down from real life figures.

Dci and any turbo car will give better results from a remap than any N/A cars due to the turbo pressure being turned up also diesels ahve the advanatge of being able to take more fuel (~20%) without any mods and get more power.This is why a tunning box works on a diesel.

If you want more power from a diesel after you have a few mods (ie beyong exhaust and IK) then you realy need a new remap tunnign boxes have quite a few weekeness when you real start moding them.
