How to remove panel below Climate Control?

How do I remove the panel below the climate control, the curved plastic panel at the back of the storage bin? I want to attempt to find the source of an annoying rattle I can hear from the dash and it sounds like it originates from within that area. The panel was hanging off when I bought the car and I noticed a cable with a open connector of some sort hanging behind it.

I know how to remove the cup holders. Just remove the ash tray then you can pull it up and out. I expect you can get at the other bit from there.

Once you start chasing rattles you'll never stop though.

Excellent I'll give that a try I'm only chasing this one rattle as it's more a vibration than a rattle and it drives me crazy

How useless are those cup holders, I've yet to find a cup or can that actually fits in them.

To get the curved bit of plastic out it slides towards you !!

Its a pain in the arse..... but u will get it off.

Slide it directly towards you otherwise u will snap the 2 clips at the top. Possibly a small screwdriver at the back to aid it out the clips.
