Right i dont get the Ohms part. but what Ohm load will this set up create on a single amplifier.

3 dual 4ohm voice coil subs wired in parrallel (subs can be run as 2 or 8 ohm)

Thanks

if i am correct in thinking the ohms should be 4 ohms as you are not conecting them in series if in series the ohms increases as you go throught each speaker. the way you have it means you require a really large amp. basicley you will be pulling more power.

i think what im saying is right. aint done this for so long

if im wrong someone please correct me.

2.6 ohms if you wire each sub in series (8 ohms) then wire them up in poarallel

i thought the total ohms increases per speaker when you use series?

example. 1 speaker is 4 ohms

2 speakers is 8 ohms

3 speakers is 12 ohms

looks like 1.33ohms if it works out correct

wow this is confusing but the way he has got it looks like it would work out to 1.33ohms with the 3 subs in parralel @ 4 oms each.

cheers for that. just wanted to get my head round it all. can anyone suggest an amplifier thats capable of running two pioneer subs, 600w RMS 4ohm DVC. Would have liked three but there does seem to be a problem finding an amp big enough:confused:. and under £500. would prefere a single amp. thanks guys.
