Import into Illustrator?

  Formally Clio 182
Hi,

I've got a logo which I done in photoshop and I want to import this into illustrator so it's a vector as when I place it into Indesign its all blocky.

I'd prefer it to be a vector you see.

Anyone a whizz at these these programs who can advise me?

Thanks

You really needed to create the logo in illustrator first - only way you can do it is to place the image in illustrator and use the paint/outline tool.

or place in it as a template and trace it.

Live Trace may give you something useable but it is quite crude in what it creates.

Are there any paths in the Photoshop document you can copy and paste into Illustrator to speed up the redraw ?

Yeah it is crude way and you do need to tweak settings to get something half decent!

Is it a complex logo? if not just redraw it.

Hey guys, cheers for the help. Solved it.

All looking good.

It was basically a logo for a business card, looking nice now!
