importing pictures on PS3

can you import pictures of a cd to a ps3 or does it have to be done from a usb stick?

You can copy them from a PC or Mac over a wireless home network using a program such as PS3 Media Server or TVersity.

No idea about CDs.

I don't see why not, always used a USB stick though. Should just read as normal for you able to copy I'd imagine.

or just media player 11 which is standard on vista. go on you tube and there is a vid on how to stream.

+1. altho ps3mediaserver does tend to.....drop out. or say its not connected when it is etc.
still works well tho

Use a usb on your laptop and copy the pics. Then onto the PS3.
There can't be a simpler way surely!

As long as the PC if set up to your home network all you do is access the picture from the PS3 and hit copy... Romeo done.

I've personally only ever had that when running two instances of it in Windows. Since moving to Mac OSX it's been flawless.
