In/ON car camera mount

Not sure if this is in the right place but i'm looking for something to put my camcorder on for track days etc. something that goes inside and outside the car would be great and just wondering what people use.

have seen a few but i dont want to but one that shakes when filming blurring the pic. would rather get one that somebody has used and can recommend.

you wont be allowed an external camera on a trackday...only an internal one. in fact you'll be lucky if they allow you to use any filming equipment. If they do you'll have to sign a form first.

I made a headrest mount just like the one posted above, but because i made it myself it works better and is more secure ;)

Of course it is.

Mine doesn't move anywhere. The biggest problem is the play in the Clio seats, not the mount itself!

I have something similar to this http://www.b-hague.co.uk/camera_suction_pads_vacuum_mounts.htm never been told I can't use it on track days and only had to sign a form once :)

thats what i was thinking of. last track day i was at people had them on both inside and outside their cars so i guess i'd be best checking with them before booking. have you got any vids you have done and how does it fit to the camcorder.

The mount screws into the bottom of my video cam and im guessing it will be the same for others.

The vids are still on tape waiting to go onto dvd  I just havn't had the time to get round to it, sorry.

was said in jest mate, im just a pikey and made one instead of buying one

I find if someone's sat in the seat the mounts on, it moves around less. If the seat is empty then it shakes/rattles more due to good old Renault build quality.
