Indicator stalk - worth getting a new one vs used

Bit of a dilemna!!!!

I'm getting a Sabelt steering wheel for my 172 Cup, but can't decide whether to get a new or used Ph1 indicator stalk (for horn).

Basically I'm wondering if it's worth getting a new one from the point of view that even though it's more money, will it FEEL all lovely to use and an old one will feel ropey compared to my 50k mile one!!

Has anyone got a new one and though "ooh isn't this lovely to use" or am I thinking of spending an extra £70 odd for no real reason?!!!!

Yeah I bought a used one when fitted my sabelt wheel, firstly sod paying Renault prices and secondly you can give it a good clean before you fit it, I went all OCD on mine and it looked almost new by the time it went on!

You cant tell the difference between a new and used stalk surely. Not like they wear out..

When I first got my car the connection in the stalk went and I replaced it with a new one from Renault. Can definitely feel the difference and clicks on and off nicely. Not worth the 70 quid Renault want for one though.
