Installing HID's - wiring?

I received my HID's today, however they have no instructions, and Im a bit confused as to fitting them!

I've got two of these, one for each side:

If anyone could tell me where each of the connectors that I've numbered plug into, I'd be very greateful!

Sorry for being a novice!

Thanks

I think I've got it.

1 plugs into 2 on the ballast.

3 the two little spades go into the existing bulb holder on the car.

But Im unsure how to get the HID bulbs to stay in, as there's no metal clip to hold the bulb in?

See the black plastic cap? Take the metal clip of it and feed the bulb etc through the small hole. You might need to cut some of the gromit to get it through but this allows you to clip the bulb in, then feed all the wires in and use the cap as normal to twist on the end

This is what I mean:

Basically Im trying to upgrade the dipped beam, which unlike the full beam doesn't have a metal retaining clip. Obviously the new HID bulbs don't sit in the existing holders, so I have no way of making the HID bulb sit in?

Edit: I think I've got it, that metal bit on the dipped bulb holder comes off and goes around the HID bulb, I think that's what you were saying all along Dm!

Take the circled clip off the twist cap and use this to feed the bulb and wires through, connect it up and use that clip to hold the bulb in. You might need to take your bumper off and headlights out to get enough room to clip it in. Was a b*****d for me.

Then once its clipped it and wired up, use the cap to twist on the end if you can then your big rubber grommit to seal the thing again. (You'll need to cut a small hole in this to feed the wires through that go to the ballasts though

Ah like so.

I just don't know how to get the metal clip big to sit behind the H7 shape HID bulb? I can't thread it through forwards, because of the plastic circle bit of the bulb, and I can't thread it through the other way, because the connector is too big, and then there's that rubber grommit thing?

  3 Series touring
junior hacksaw...cut one side, you can then ut it round the wire,
just dont be a lemon and break it

Unclip all the wires. Feed everything through the clip, some of the connectors are quite tight but it eventually goes through, then you need to cut the lip off the rubber grommit for it to be small enough to get it through then sit the clip right up against the plastic bit of the bulb. Then you can clip it in and wire it all up

Scrap that. I just made the holes in that rubbery grommet bigger, so that I could pull the two wires with the big connector out, then I could fit that metal bit on, put it all back together and they're all in and sorted working now.
Thanks for helping!
