1.6 Ford Focus
Ok, so I own a Mk2 Ph1 2001 with remote central locking... The key fob works great and locks both doors and boot no problem, but the central locking button inside the car does not work.
If I am sitting in the car, all doors shut properlly, and press the button you can hear all the locks firing on the doors and boot... yet the car can still be opened from the outside. I have tested this by sitting inside with the windows open and locking it as well as asking someone to try opening the doors but they still refuse to lock... However if I am sitting inside the car and press the key fob button, it locks with no problems... even if the key is in the ignition (i have not tested it with the ignition or engine on as I assume pressing the key fob will arm the immobaliser).
I have checked all fuses and even pulled the switch out and checked the cables but everything seams to be working fine.
Has anyone had this problem before or have any ideas how to fix it?
