Interior sensors

  Nippy white cup

Just a quick question....Whats the best way to see if the interior sensors are working. Ive just got it back from renault and I want to make sure that they havent just disconnected the sensors. Maybe if I lock it with the window open? or sit in the car, lock it then move around?

Cheers

sit in the car and move around I guess - you can check the code that the alarm gives to make sure that it was these that were picking up the movement.

Am I right in thinking that with volumetric sensing as in this case, you have to arm it all and wait for 30 seconds before it will react? If so, you can sit in the car but it might not stabilize the volume so may not work. You could leave the sunroof open and wait til summer for a butterfly to wander along into your cockpit!

How do you get the alarm to tell you what set the alarm off?

to test it just do what I do, sit in car arm it, stay VERY still, wait til light goes out on door lock switch on dash give it 10 seconds after this then the alarm if fully armed, now move your hand slightly alarm sounds.

Sit in back and try it, try both sides to see if both sensors working.

Would have thought it had a self test to make sure all components working.

After the alarm has gone off the LED flashes. It will flash with a different sequence depending what set it off. It would be good if it had a self-test though.
