interior tar/sound proofing removal

im not sure what it is called, but its black, and hard, :eek:

its like a sheet of the stuff stuck to the bloot floor,
looks almost like tar, im guessing for reducing road noise??

how do i get it off! i want to paint my interior to complete the stripped look,
and it is getting in the way!!!

ahh,
how hot are heatguns??

since i dont have one, i dont suppose a hair dryer would work?? lol

worth asking i guess!

Worth a try. My guess is it won't get hot enought though.

Just pick up a decent one from B&Q etc. It's an investment after all as with every other tool you buy so. Plus if you ever decorate your own house a heat gun comes in handy removing paint from doors and whole other bunch of stuff. It's not like you'll only ever use it the once unless you loose it.
