iPad problem after IOS 4.2 update

All. After updating my iPad to IOS 4.2 I seem to have an issue with muting sound. Anyone who has performed the update will know that the screen lock slider now mutes all sound. Except on mine, it doesn't. When you slide the button to the mute position, the image on the screen telling you it's muted appears, but I still get sound. Anyone else got this?

Sound from everything? Some things over-rule the mute. Like iAds.

It was YouTube I was on at the time, and it was an actual video. Not an advert. I can mute sound by turning the volume right down.

Yeah, thats not a problem, thats the way it is.

The mute switch will mute sounds you cannot control (Notfications, etc) its the same on an iPhone.

Apple have decided if you want something to make a sound then it will. Regardless of the fact you have flicked the mute switch.
