Is it worth it....

  A well built VW
Currently on 512mb broadband with no limits but have been offered 1Mb broadband but it only has a 3GB download limit.

How quickly am i likely to use this limit ? does it make much difference 1mb

I don't notice any real difference on 2 meg apart from big files downloading faster.
3gb is a reasonable allowance depends what you do I don't want to think what my downlaod is like I'd guess from past experiance 50 gig or so but I download loads of stuff the pcs on almsot all the time.

lol 3 gig!! i could do that in and hour or so

Just in an hour ?? lol
I've got 8Mb download speed with 30 Gb download limit and I'm constantly getting nice letters from Wanadoo asking me to "calm down" on my downloading ... heheeheee
Suppose if they give you big download speeds, they'd expect you to download less when you end up downloading more! ;)
Surprised they havent lifted the limit alltogether on the £27.99 package. I regulary hit between 60-100Gb per month :D .. cheepskate wanadoo broadband grrrrrrr!!

lol

Go with onetel if you don't want limits. Expensive and cr*p indian customer service, but you get unlimited file transfer limits. I used to download a movie and a couple of albums a day, plus other stuff and never had 1 email from them.

Ukonline... £29.99

16mb on ADSL2+ and they recently lifted the 500gig limit so it's completely uncapped (and I mean uncapped not some fair usage policy hidden away)

Where are you then?

BT Wholesale relaxed the margins on ADSL last year and 1mb should be possible to anyone on 512k.
